Avatar 2, Avatar 3, and Avatar 4 are filmed together in New Zealand using next-generation cameras and performance capture technology. The films will be shot in New Zealand using the same performance capture technology used for the original Avatar.
Avatar 2 is scheduled to begin production this month, with principal photography starting on June 20, 2019, with an expected release date of December 6, 2020.
AVATAR 3 CAST
The cast of Avatar 3 is made up of
Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) – A former Marine paralyzed by a malfunctioning Na’vi exoskeleton suit. He becomes the Avatar and saves humankind from destruction.
Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) – A beautiful young woman chosen to be Jake’s wife in an arranged marriage ceremony; she falls in love with him when he rescues her from drowning in the ocean after their mating ritual.
Colonel Quaritch (Stephen Lang) – A military man who wants to control all aspects of life on Pandora but fails after being defeated by Jake and Neytiri at the end of their first meeting.

AVATAR 3 PLOT
Avatar 3 will have a plot centered on the Navi, who is forced to fight back against the RDA.
You’ll see how they adjust to life in their new home and even how they deal with the loss of their friend Jake Sully (Sam Worthington). The third installment will be about Neytiri’s daughter (Zoe Saldana), born after Jake and Neytiri met on Pandora.
The movie will also show how the Navi has to adapt and survive in their new home. The film will be directed by James Cameron, also known for movies such as Titanic, Avatar, and Aliens.
THE JAMES CAMERON-WRITTEN SCRIPT FOR AVATAR 2 WILL REPORTEDLY MODERNIZE THE LANGUAGE OF THE NAVI AND GIVE THEM MORE PERSONALITY.
Cameron is writing the script to have more control over what happens with the Navi. Cameron describes the Navi as “beautiful forest creatures who live in harmony with nature,” but they’re also portrayed as having personalities and emotions. In Avatar 2, he hopes we’ll see more of those characteristics on screen.
Cameron’s first draft of the script for Avatar 2 didn’t include dialogue from characters like Jake or Neytiri because he wanted to explore new ideas about language and culture without being limited by what other movies had done before him (i.e., Star Wars).
He tried to focus more on how humans relate to each other than what they say back-and-forth while fighting aliens; this ultimately resulted in some exciting changes when compared side-by-side with other films like Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace, where everyone speaks English but still manages somehow communicate despite not knowing each other at all!
CAMERON ALSO CLAIMED THE SCRIPTS FOR AVATAR SEQUELS 2, 3, AND 4 ARE “DONE.” HE’S NOW MAPPING OUT POTENTIAL STORYLINES FOR OTHER FILMS AND TV SHOWS.
It’s unclear whether these will be original stories or adaptations of existing material. Still, it seems likely that Cameron will continue to build on his universe as he did with The Terminator franchise in 1984.
It’s also unclear if Cameron intends to direct the Avatar sequels himself. He said he was still working on the scripts so that he could direct them after all. But it is worth noting that he hasn’t produced a film since 2009’s Avatar itself and hasn’t directed a sequel since 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
THE CHARACTERS FROM AVATAR WILL GO TO PANDORA AND BEYOND, WITH SCENES TAKING PLACE ON VARIOUS MOONS IN ORBIT AROUND THE GAS GIANT POLYPHEMUS.
The moon Pandora is in orbit around the gas giant Polyphemus, which is home to several moons. These include Polyphemus and its companion planet Pandora, which are in an elliptical orbit around the parent body.
Polyphemus’s other two moons: Thalassa and Tethys, were discovered in 2014 by astronomers using the Hubble Space Telescope.
The newly discovered moons are named Prometheus and Pandora. They were first seen in images taken on May 5, 2014, by the Wide Field Camera 3 on NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope.
THE SEQUEL MOVIES BRING BACK FAMILIAR FACES LIKE SAM WORTHINGTON AND ZOE SALDANA AS JAKE SULLY AND NEYTIRI, RESPECTIVELY.
The sequel movies bring back familiar faces like Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana as Jake Sully and Neytiri, respectively. Sigourney Weaver is also returning for the third film, with CCH Pounder returning. Joel David Moore is also expected to appear in Avatar 2 but not in a significant role like Aang.
The prominent cast members behind these characters include Stephen Lang (Avatar), Michelle Yeoh (Crazy Rich Asians), Elizabeth Banks (Won’t You Be My Neighbor?), Cliff Curtis (The Dark Tower), and more!
CONCLUSION
The upcoming Avatar sequels are pretty much guaranteed to be worth watching. The cast includes Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, and many others.
They’re a mix of familiar faces like Worthington and Saldana as Jake Sully and Neytiri (who were both played by their original actors in the first film). Still, there are plenty of other new characters for fans to look forward to!
